ABOUT ANAMIKA SAREE
Anamika Saree was established in the year 1980 in Kolkata by Mrs. Anamika Nath is a visionary entrepreneur who started the venture as a means to bring the timeless art of her hometown Phulia to the connoisseurs of authentic luxury handwoven sarees in Kolkata and beyond. Anamika Saree inspired and sustained three generations of artisan weavers in the weaving community of Phulia and neighboring towns in the Nadia region of Bengal, an area known around the world for its exquisite textile tradition.
OUR PURPOSE
Anamika Saree: It is an artisan driven hub that promotes a sustainable and reformative business model to help sustain and nurture the art of hand weaving some of the finest techniques of weaves-in Muslins ,Cotton, Khadi, Linens, Silks and Tussar exhibiting fine craftsmanship.
We also strive to create awareness among the consumers so that not only do we bring this art form to the current community of saree lovers, but also create a new generation of saree enthusiasts.
We organize knowledge sessions, exhibitions, workshops and more to help educate people about handlooms so that consumers are interested and can make an informed decision about the material they choose to put on their bodies.
Every single piece of weave that comes from the Anamika Sarees community is a testament to the dedication and skills of our artisans. We are focused on promoting our community so that our artisans can concentrate on what they do best. Create beautiful weaves, colours and embroidery patterns by sustaining and respecting knowledge and skills passed down through generations.
Our Sustainability Impact
We are redefining luxury to its purest and most authentic form using natural fibres, heritage designs, organic colours, handcrafted materials.
India's most symbolic garment, “the Saree” is untailored, so no material is wasted during the process of making the saree. The material can be recycled multiple times and through generations.
Products are made implementing best practices to conserve and regenerate natural resources, arts, craftsmanship, local cultures and the entire environmental ecosystem.

Development Cordinator
Chinmoy is our technical coordinator. His father was a master weaver.He is a software engineer by profession.He gives direction for yarns,colours and design.Works closely with the artisans on their development needs.
Our Contribution
We contribute to society and public good in a responsible manner by finding social and environmental solutions for the future of our planet. We have taken small initiatives in helping the weavers's family during the time of pandemic lockdown with basic necessities and motivated them to keep their spirit alive. We supported them, cleared their unsold products and inspired them to restart their work.
